Hi Chris,

Thanks for the reply and I do think you deserve an honest answer so here it is...... Most bloggers will use Ezine articles to post new content on their site, it keeps the news fresh and stimulates comments (like yours and others) and helps keep the blog in the search engines. All that being said, hopefully more people will read the blog and increase the traffic. With an increase in traffic comes additional revenue for the blog owner in the forms of affiliate sales, advertising revenue among others.

Now to answer why only a partial listing, thats easy. Google does not look favorably on duplicate content. Posting a full article off Ezine (or any other article submission site) will eventually be labeled as duplicate, and you cant change the article contents (although some bloggers do) because of the terms of agreement with Ezine. A blogger or webmaster may use the content as long as a link to the original article is kept and the contents are not altered so usually only a paragraph or two are used and a link provided back to the source.

Now I cant speak for all bloggers but most that I know, DO NOT want to screw anyone out of a link, in fact most will go out of their way to provide a needed incoming link to a fellow blogger or webmaster in the form of a link exchange, comments like these, blogrolls, top commenters list etc........

I hope this helps, BTW I took a look at http://impreview.blogspot.com It looks good!

No, that's ok by me. Please just keep it here if you want it. You know I got to confess though that I don't understand why you just (not just you but all webmasters) don't post the whole article including the link. That's what I write the articles for. I mean, if you find the article valuable enough to put a blurb on your fine site here, then why screw a fellow blogger out of a measly link?

A couple years ago everyone used to just post the whole article, now it seems everyone just posts a blurb and leaves the link at the article directory. That ain't passin the love around!

Be honest. If you are going to use someones work then pay them for it with a link.

What's your honest opinion about this? Do you think I'm an asshole? Really, I want to know why people don't post the whole article and give the author some credit? Maybe I'm just making a big deal out of it!?!?

What are your thoughts?

Hi Christopher,

Actually it was not a full post, just an excerpt from the original article that is on ezinearticles.com.

All permalinks point back to the original article so anyone that is interested in the article is directed to ezine to view it in its intirety.

If you would prefer, I will remove it from this system.

Thanks for the note.
